On 29 December 2026, at the premises of the UNESCO Club “Akhal-Teke Horses – Messengers of Peace” of the International Horse Breeding Academy named after Aba Annayev, the festival of national cuisines prepared in honor of the New Year celebrations of the peoples of the world, entitled “New Year Fest 2026,” was successfully held.
The event was attended as honored guests by the Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan, Ms. Chynar Tajyyeva Rustemova; the Deputy Minister of Education of Turkmenistan, Mr. Aleksandr Toylyyevich Amanov; as well as the heads and active members of UNESCO Chairs and UNESCO Clubs operating in the country.
Within the framework of the festival, talented students of the International Horse Breeding Academy named after Aba Annayev presented national dishes and distinctive cultural traditions of friendly countries, demonstrating a high level of creativity, skill, and cultural awareness. The prepared national cuisines and artistic performances were warmly received by the distinguished guests and members of the academic community. The festival served as a meaningful celebration, contributing to the strengthening of the Turkmen people’s traditions of friendship and goodwill, and further promoting unity among the peoples of the world.
During the event, heads and active members of UNESCO Chairs and Clubs were awarded certificates of honor and valuable commemorative gifts on behalf of the Secretariat of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO and the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
The participants of the festival also conveyed their congratulations on the proclamation of 2026 as the “Year of a Neutral, Peaceful Turkmenistan — the Homeland of Brave Horses,” as well as on the occasion of the New Year, addressing their heartfelt best wishes to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and to the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadagly Serdar. They expressed sincere wishes for their good health and longevity, and for the continued success of their far-reaching initiatives aimed at ensuring the long-term prosperity and well-being of the nation and its people.
